Nestled amid graceful charms of old Chiang Mai, InterContinental Chiang Mai The Mae Ping offers a lush retreat for adventurers, inviting them to experience an array of memorable dining events from October through December.

October’s Spooky Bounty

Over at the hotel’s elegant Kam Lobby Lounge, the focus is on Halloween celebrations, with Instagram-friendly “Trick or Treat” afternoon tea served daily from 2:00 pm till 5:30 pm throughout October. November’s Warm Glow

November marks the annual Loy Krathong Festival, one of Thailand’s most romantic events. Set against the backdrop of a full moon, twinkling candles and paper lanterns, this is an invitation to symbolically float away your troubles. In honour of the occasion, throughout November Kam Lobby Lounge will be putting a colourful twist on a classic afternoon tea service with an option to pair sweet and savoury delights with a Loy Krathong Aperol Spritz cocktail, including such curations as Khom Rosita, Wiangping and Not Penicillin, at THB 350++ each. Over at Hong’s Chinese, a Loy Krathong-themed five-course dinner priced at THB 2,988++ per person with wine pairings (on 9 November) comes with a 20% discount voucher valid for any of the Sky Bar’s ‘Lanterns in the Sky’ parties (15-17 November), where guests can expect a lucky draw, craft cocktails, live music and the magical glow of lanterns and candles.

The season’s traditions will also be celebrated at The Gad Lanna with a special Loy Krathong brunch on 17 November. The afternoon’s expansive programme includes krathong making, Thai dance, live music and, of course, a delectable buffet spread (THB 2,188++ per person with a glass of bubbly). A free-flow Champagne package is available at THB 1,500++, along with a “4-for-3” promotion.

For smart rooftop cocktails, guests can join the crowd at Sky Bar on 21 December for the “Run Rudolph, Run” pre-Christmas party (THB 2,200 per person with a complimentary welcome cocktail) where guest DJs and talented entertainers will keep the party going late into the night.
