A Bridge Between Luxury and Legacy

At InterContinental Chiang Mai The Mae Ping, we believe that the past should breathe beside you, not sit behind glass. As our Cultural Ambassador, Bijayasinee Sirivisutra acts as a vital link between the hotel and Chiang Mai’s vibrant artistic community. Her mission is to curate immersive experiences that allow guests to touch, feel, and participate in the city's creative spirit.

From overseeing the historic artefacts displayed throughout our property to providing behind-the-scenes access to local artisans and designers, Bijayasinee ensures that every guest discovers the "soul" of this heritage city.

Meet Bijayasinee Sirivisutra

Born and raised in Chiang Mai, Bijayasinee’s connection to Lanna culture is lifelong. She grew up in a 145-year-old teakwood house and was trained in traditional Lanna dance by a former court dancer of Princess Dara Rasami. Her background is a unique blend of local tradition and international perspective:

Academic Excellence: Holds a minor in Thai Art from Chiang Mai University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Arts and Cultural Management.

Global Experience: Represented Thailand in Türkiye as a child delegate and studied in the United Kingdom and Indonesia.

Professional Expertise: Over a decade of experience as a travel writer and a background in ultra-luxury hospitality.

A Living Museum in the Heart of Chiang Mai

Located adjacent to a 600-year-old stupa, our hotel serves as a gateway to UNESCO-recognised treasures. Through our Cultural Ambassador, we invite you to explore the narratives of the Lanna Kingdom, moving beyond the typical tourist path to engage with the authentic heart of Northern Thailand.
